Microsoft are once again running the promotion at virtual Ignite (free to attend – virtually) to earn a free Microsoft Certification Exam voucher. To do this you participate in the Cloud Skills Challenge and upon completing a challenge you will earn a FREE Microsoft Certification exam which is worth around $165 USD (so definitely worth doing!). There are also some prizes that also can be won of meeting Microsoft Leaders and Personalities virtually

Go ahead and register for the Cloud Skills Challenge and after you’ve completed your first challenge, you’ll earn a free Microsoft Certification!
The six learning paths (challenges) for this year’s Ignite are:
I wanted to do the Microsoft Ignite App Maker Challenge so selected the appropriate Go to challenge button
Then I clicked on the Join the challenge button to join the Microsoft Ignite App Maker Challenge
There are then nine Microsft Learn modules that you will need to complete to complete the Microsoft Ignite App Maker Challenge
Once the challenge has ended and providing you have completed at least one challenge then the free certification exam awarded will be available for redemption starting October 14, 2020 and is valid until April 14, 2021. Additional details and instructions on how to redeem your free certification exam will be sent via email on or around October 14, 2020.

Participate in the Microsoft Ignite Cloud Skills Challenge to earn a free Microsoft Certification exam and a chance to win prizes! Choose up to six different challenges to complete on Microsoft Learn. After you’ve completed your first challenge, you’ll earn a free Microsoft Certification exam. For each challenge you complete, you’ll earn five entries into a sweepstakes. One grand prize winner will receive a chance to meet with a Microsoft leader and invite up to four friends.
The Microsoft Ignite Cloud Skills Challenge is comprised of six, subject specific challenges. You can participate in as many as you’d like–the more you complete, the more sweepstakes entries you earn.
Each challenge is based on a specific collection of Microsoft Learn modules. Finish the collection before the challenge closes to earn sweepstakes entries and credit for your completion.
After you’ve completed your first challenge, you’ll earn a free Microsoft Certification exam. The exam will be associated with this account for use starting on October 14, 2020. If your Learn account is different that the account you use for Microsoft Certifications, that’s okay—you’ll have the opportunity to link your account when you redeem this prize
Microsoft did this promotion last time at Microsoft Build and I completed this challenge by completing a few modules on MS Learn. It was great as there was some good learning on MS Learn and then free voucher which was valid for six months with a chance to win even further prizes!
